CABAL News Discord

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 30, 2026

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how CABAL News Discord collects, uses, stores, and deletes data when you sign in with Discord, configure a server, or use the Discord bot.

2. Data We Collect

When you sign in with Discord OAuth, we may store:

  • Your Discord user ID, username, and avatar URL.
  • Discord OAuth access token, refresh token, and token expiration time.
  • The Discord servers where your account has Manage Server permission.
  • Discord server IDs, server names, server icon URLs, and Discord permission values.
  • Configured channel IDs, channel names, channel types, and notification enabled or disabled status.
  • Notification delivery records, including delivery status, retry count, Discord message ID, and errors.
  • Operational records needed for security, delivery reliability, abuse prevention, and duplicate prevention.

3. Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect Discord passwords. We do not read private messages. We do not sell personal data. The bot only needs access related to configured servers and channels required for notification delivery.

4. How We Use Data

We use stored data to:

  • Authenticate you with Discord OAuth.
  • Show only servers where you have Manage Server permission.
  • Let you configure the channel where notifications are sent.
  • Send CABAL news and update notifications through the Discord bot.
  • Avoid duplicate notifications and retry failed deliveries.
  • Protect the service from abuse, rate-limit issues, and operational failures.

5. Discord API And Third Parties

The service uses Discord APIs for OAuth login, server discovery, bot installation, channel discovery, and message delivery. Your use of Discord is also governed by Discord's own terms and policies.

Discord documents: Developer Terms and Developer Policy.

6. CABAL Website Data

CABAL news and update posts are collected from public official CABAL EU web pages. These global post records are not tied to a specific user account and may remain after an account is deleted.

7. Data Retention

Account data is kept while your account exists. Server and channel configuration is kept while notifications are configured. Delivery and security records may be kept as needed for reliability, abuse prevention, and duplicate prevention.

8. Account Deletion

You can delete your local account from the Profile page. Deletion removes your saved Discord OAuth data, local server links, channel configuration, and notification settings tied to your account. If you sign in again later with Discord, a new local account record may be created from Discord data.

9. Security

OAuth tokens are stored only to support the service and should be protected as sensitive data. Access to the database and production environment should be limited to authorized operators. No internet service can be guaranteed perfectly secure.

10. Contact
